Conceptual Photography for Walmart World

In celebration of Memorial Day, I thought I’d share this conceptual portrait photography assignment I shot last year for Walmart World. For this shoot, I had the pleasure of working with retired Navy veteran, Ricardo Pinolay, along with his lovely wife and daughter. Pinolay currently works as the Walmart sporting goods and auto department manager here in Miami and was a complete natural in front of the camera.

Portrait of Lt. Colonel Ricardo Roig for GX Magazine

Straight out of the gate, my shoot for GX Magazine presented a interesting challenge; while the shoot would take place in South Florida, the images needed to look as if they could have been taken in Iraq. Roadtrip/Mi Familia
