For my first assignment with The Kitchn, I took a little drive over the causeway to the beach town of Surfside. Once there, I met up with my writer/friend, Jesse (who also happened to put me up for the assignment). We were welcomed into the home of Zak Stern and Batsheva Wulfsohn- the couple behind the wildly popular Miami destination, Zak the Baker- a kosher bakery/cafe located in the Wynwood arts district. Jesse and I were there to capture how the baking duo live in their home kitchen, with their two little girls, Abigail and Maya Mabel.
We really enjoyed getting to know the family and making some portraits of them in their light-filled home (2-year-old Abigail is quite the ham). Check out the article here, www.thekitchn.com/at-home-in-miami
