Upon moving to Miami (for the first time) in 2003, I was bewildered as to how such a large city could have so few parks (and green space in general).  I would complain about this to just about anyone that would listen.  After all, the much smaller city I had come from, Louisville, KY, has a park system designed by the legendary landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted (designer of numerous city parks including, Central Park and Golden Gate Park).   13 […]
